COVID19 RISK ASSESSMENT AT BEAUTY BY V

To make sure that we are complying with Government guidelines, and to make sure that both our customers and staff are safe, we have carried out a full COVID-19 Risk Assessment, which covers the following:

DURING AN APPOINTMENT

  • Maintain social distancing of 2m, or 1.5m with measures in place

  • Advise the client they must adhere to appointment times avoid congestion in the salon.

  • Client to arrive alone to reduce any unsafe congestion in the salon.

  • Client to leave excess personal belongings at home or in their car (where available)

  • If safe to do so, then water will be provided to clients but in disposable cup, must be disposed of upon departing the salon in the bin provided.

  • Clients advised to pay via Card Payment Only.

WHAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN NOW PLACE?

  • Before entering the salon, signage will be displayed.

  • Social distancing will be clearly advised.

  • Clients/Staff to not enter the salon if feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19

  • Staff to stay home and self isolate for 14 days before returning to work at the salon.

WHAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN NOW PLACE?

  • Signage throughout the salon to advise clients to wash hands and use hand sanitiser. We will advise clients to social distance.

  • Sanitisation Station- sign to be displayed advising clients and staff to sanitise upon arrival and at intervals throughout their appointment.

  • PPE will be worn by the staff at all times. Some PPE will also be worn by the clients to prevent any spread.

  • Staff starting their shift should enter the salon, wash hands and then use hand sanitiser before setting up their work area and applying PPE

  • Health & Safety signage at the door and throughout salon advising clients.

  • Clients should approach the reception desk ensuring a safe distance as advised by the current floor markings.

  • Prior to greeting clients, staff should ensure hands are cleaned, sanitised and correct PPE is worn.

WHAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN NOW PLACE?

  • Staff to continually wipe down all areas (desk, treatment couches, equipment) using disinfectant in-between clients

  • Each staff member will clean, disinfect and sterilise work tools in between each client.

  • Staff must ensure new PPE is used for each client.

  • Towels (if used during treatment) will be washed after each use.

  • Staff to ensure that waste bins containing used PPE are disposed of safely and correctly.

WHAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN NOW PLACE?

  • Clients should approach reception desk area ensuring a safe distance as outlined by floor markings.

  • The staff member will submit bill details and rebook appointment, then step back from the reception desk so the client can step forward to pay (enter pin on card machine or contactless pay where possible). The client can then step back so therapist can close sale. No paper receipts will be given.

  • Staff to ensure disinfection of reception area and card machine after each use.

  • Staff will also disinfect any contact areas ie, door handles.

TOILETS

WHAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN NOW PLACE?

  • Staff to ensure regular scheduled cleaning, ensuring toilet paper, paper hand towels and hand soap are readily available.

  • Staff to ensure bins are emptied and disposed of correctly.

  • Clients/Staff to wipe down toilet and flush and sink taps with disinfectant after each use.

  • Staff will also keep up regular checks of facilities.
